It is an indescribable feeling to be getting the championship ring for which you shed sweat and blood. Philadelphia 76ers Danny Green and Dwight Howard just received the souvenir of their hard work that they put in and brought the Los Angeles Lakers their NBA title after almost a decade.
Although both of them were traded off in the offseason for the Lakers to make space for better players, Green had a touching reaction to getting his ring on the night he played against his former team.

The 2020 NBA season was one of its kind. With the playoffs taking place in the Orlando Bubble, some even claim that this was the toughest postseason in the league’s history because of all the safety protocols, restrictions, and precautions. Nevertheless, in these tough times, the purple and gold franchise became the champions.
What made this win even more special is that this came after an entire decade. Dwight Howard and Danny Green were part of the glorious roster that got the championship. And now that they are part of the 76ers, they just received their rings before playing their former team.
Even though this was Howard’s first NBA title, Green is no stranger to them. It was his third championship ring from his third team. Their contributions were vital alongside the efforts of LeBron James and Anthony Davis to bring this feat home. After getting the ring, Green even posted a series of pictures with a long caption, thanking his family, friends, and the organization for all the love and support he has gotten.

It was an unforgettable night for Green. Not only did he receive the ring he has been waiting for, but he also played incredibly against the Lakers and defeated them 109-101. He also ended up scoring 28 points along with the final dagger that ended the game.
The Philadelphia 76ers have only benefitted by adding Danny to their roster. He has been putting up big numbers and has helped maintain the franchise’s top position in the Eastern Conference.
How crazy would it be if Philly ends up winning this year’s title? It seems like wherever Danny Green goes, he brings luck and success to the team. The Sixers winning the championship this year is the closest thing to a safe bet this season. However, only time will tell whether Green will land another ring.
