7’1″ Shaquille O’Neal, Who Once Revealed He Had the Biggest Bed in the World, Gets a Humongous Custom Made Mattress

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal dominated the league during his prime with his sheer strength and size. The towering center was a nightmare matchup for opponents on both ends of the court. However, his giant frame comes at a cost. The struggles to find everyday things to fit him could sometimes be tedious. For someone who values his sleep, Shaq once could not find a mattress that would fit him. The Big Diesel was once searching for a comfortable mattress. And he found one, but it did not fit him, unfortunately.

So the Los Angeles Lakers legend shared a photo of him sleeping in it and asked the mattress maker if they could make something that would fit his gigantic frame. The mattress maker was more than willing to help the basketball legend. And delivered a 72″ by 98″ mattress with his Shaq Dunkman logo.

The former MVP also once revealed that he has the biggest bed in the world. During a talk show, Shaq disclosed this and said that the bed is in Orlando. When the host asked how big the bed was, O’Neal said that it could fifty people. Then when the host asked whether Shaq has had fifty people in the bed, Shaq hilariously censored his words with a piece of paper.

Like a lot of celebrities, Shaq is a huge car collection. But most cars are not made for customers who are 7 feet tall. So the four-time NBA champion has to get the help of specialists to customize his cars.

While the millionaire can now afford to customize his costly cars and almost everything he desires, that was not the case growing up. A young and tall Shaquille O’Neal, who wears size 22, struggled to find shoes that could fit him. He once revealed that he stopped wearing Air Jordan shoes because he could not find the size. Shaq also said that his grandmother taught him a technique to make leather shoes bigger by pouring hot water.

O’Neal has on multiple occasions displayed his generosity with his random acts of kindness. He once helped a tall young kid whose mother struggled to find the right shoe size for him. The 13-year-old kid needed size 18 shoes and Shaq helped him out with no less than 10 pairs of shoes.
