Shaquille O’Neal, owing to his size and strength, was a colossus among humans during his playing days. The seven-foot big man dwarfed most of his contemporaries, also giving them a taste of ‘Shaq Attack’ on a nightly basis. Considering that, it’s safe to assume that the NBA legend will easily tower over any average-sized individual. This is exactly what transpired during the NBA’s recent visit to Abu Dhabi.

The NBA is embracing its global popularity as the league hosted games in the United Arab Emirates for the first time ever. The first of the two NBA Abu Dhabi games saw the Atlanta Hawks locking horns with the Milwaukee Bucks. Among the crowd watching the sold-out encounter were many familiar names, as well as both local and international celebrities.

Fans arguably had a great time as the Hawks defeated the Bucks in what was a tantalizing matchup. Interestingly, Shaq was also in the building and was seen interacting with fans and fellow celebrities throughout.

Another renowned celebrity who was in attendance was Indian actor Ranveer Singh. The actor is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood today and is a big fan of the game. In fact, he was named the NBA’s brand ambassador for India last year. He also attended last season’s All-Star weekend and even participated in the 2022 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

The actor described it as “the best weekend” of his life. He even met LeBron James as he watched the players in action during the 2022 All-Star game.

The well-known actor jumped on the chance and met the Los Angeles Lakers legend as both were in attendance at the Etihad Arena. They even posed for a picture together, with Shaq towering over the five-foot-nine Singh. NBA India shared the picture on their social media while the actor posted an Instagram story. Interestingly, Singh met a plethora of other NBA superstars and celebrities.

The Indian actor even got the chance to teach Giannis Antetkounmpo some dance moves from Bollywood. The two were seen breaking moves to the popular Bollywood song ‘Tattad Tattad’ from Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Ram-Leela’. It’s fair to say that the prominent actor has a great relationship with the league and its players.

When it comes to Shaquille O’Neal, his worldwide popularity and influence continue to grow. The big man was recently in Australia as well, where he shared his expertise and gave the people of the Land Down Under an insight into his life and career.
