5x NBA Champion Dennis Rodman Lost a Job Due to Ex-POTUS Donald Trump?s Wife in Bizarre 2013 Mishap

Dennis Rodman has always been in demand in the entertainment industry due to his colorful personality. The five-time NBA champion was known for constant controversy and peculiar moves on and off the court. Rodman featured in several TV shows and movies including ‘The Rodman World Tour’, ‘Double Team’, and ‘Simone Sez’ among others. ‘The Worm’ also appeared in several renowned reality TV shows. Back in 2013, Dennis Rodman lost a job due to former US President Donald Trump’s wife Melania Trump due to a bizarre mistake.

During the sixth episode of the reality TV show ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2013, Dennis Rodman was fired by former POTUS Donald Trump for making an embarrassing mistake. The show revolves around a boardroom where celebrities compete against one another, depicting business and physical skills to win a chance to become an apprentice of Thai entrepreneur and martial arts instructor Chatri Sityodtong.

The seven-time rebounding champ joined the show alongside various celebrities including, Brande Roderick, Omarosa Manigault, and Claudia Jordan among others. Unfortunately, Rodman did not last long and was fired by Trump after a few episodes.

Dennis Rodman and co. makes a big mistake

Trump gave the celebrities a new task which involved creating a product display and advertising campaign for the new ‘Melania’ skincare line. The product line was dedicated to Trump’s wife Melania Trump and she was one of the judges. The celebrities were judged based on their idea, creativity, presentation, and marketing factors.

Further, Dennis Rodman was made the project manager for one of the teams called Power. The prize for the winning team was $40,000 for their charity. Rodman’s team put immense effort into designing the posters for Melania’s skincare line. However, Trump’s wife found an embarrassing mistake in the poster.

The Slovenian model and former First Lady reckoned that her name was misspelled on the poster. During the inspection with Donald Trump, one of the guest judges Stephen Baldwin also noticed two different spellings of Melania Trump’s name on the poster.

Trump fires Rodman

Donald Trump blamed Dennis Rodman for the mistake and gave him an earful. The two-time All-Star claimed to have read the poster before sending it to the printer. He argued that it was not his fault. However, being the project manager, Rodman had to take responsibility for the mistake, which resulted in him getting fired from the show.

Eventually, Donald Trump said, “Dennis, you’re fired.”

Unfortunately, the Chicago Bulls legend was fired for writing Trump’s wife’s name as “Milania”. It cost Rodman his seat on the show and he ended up being fired.
