The Houston Rockets are going to host their matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. This one is a highly anticipated showdown because of all the sour history between James Harden and the Houston Rockets. However, what’s even wilder is that Kevin Durant has hinted at playing the maximum minutes against them. This has some NBA fans in awe of him, and some have become defensive about the Rockets.
Kevin Durant will continue to play for long minutes until he wants
There has been chit-chat about Durant being overplayed by Steve Nash this season. Even in their last game against the Dallas Mavericks, KD played 41 minutes and put up 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists to secure that 102-99 victory. However, Durant doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

In the post-game interview, he was questioned about how much he will be playing when against the Rockets, and the answer was as cocky as it gets. “You see my face, you’ve been around long enough to know when there’s one of these games, why I want to stay in,” he started off. “We have two days in between. I have been sitting at home a lot, to be honest. So, when I get a chance to play, yes!.”
“I know people may be concerned about my minutes and I got injured before and all this extra s**t. But we’ll figure that out if I get there, right now, I want to play basketball… I might play 48 tomorrow, just cause, give you something to talk about,” he concluded. This had NBA fans riled up and here’s how they reacted to his comments.

The Brooklyn Nets winning the game is a no-brainer
On one hand, there is a team that is at the top of the Eastern Conference table with a 17-7 record. On the other hand, there is one team that is barely alive in the West with a poor 7-16 record. However, the Houston Rockets can pull off a miraculous upset as they have a six-game winning streak behind them.
So, they do have better momentum on their side and have proved that they aren’t to be taken lightly. However, the Nets have far better depth and experience on their side. While the Nets seem like the most obvious choice, this game could go either way.
