Shaquille O’Neal might have retired from the basketball court for a while now, but he is still very much active when it comes to his off-court ventures. O’Neal has arguably been just as successful outside the court, as he was as an NBA player. The $400-million-worth Shaq owns a series of restaurants, car washes, gyms, nightclubs, and more. But that’s not all that the Los Angeles Lakers legend is known for.
The Big Aristotle might have looked intimidating and fierce to his opponents on the court, but he is undoubtedly a big man with a soft heart. On several occasions, O’Neal has helped out complete strangers with small acts of kindness. Whether it is buying a laptop for them or paying for an engagement ring.

“A lot of people describe it as giving back. I describe it as doing what you’re supposed to do. You’re supposed to help those in need. If I’m somewhere and see somebody’s needing something, I’ll take care of it. I just always try to continue to do the right thing and just lead by example. I’m all about brightening up people’s day.” said Shaq to PEOPLE.
Additionally, O’Neal has several charities to help children and students. The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation was founded back in 2019, with a mission to create a brighter future for children. Shaq’s foundation has several annual programs to help raise funds and help children. The ‘Shaq-to-School’ program provides basic school necessities for kids with poor economic backgrounds.

And now The Event is back again in 2022. Shaquille O’Neal had earlier uploaded the poster with the name of the artists who would be performing at the concert. He also announced that Pitbull and H.E.R have joined the event lineup consisting of several musical stars such as Maroon 5, John Mulaney, and Maren Morris.
The concert is set to take place on October 1 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The ticket sales range from $50 and go up to $250. The Event also includes a private reception, dinner, and live auction that will take place before the concert.
“Last year’s Event was a lifetime highlight for me, which is saying something. We set the bar high but we’re looking forward to an even bigger night this year, more guests, more acts, more passion for positive change,” the four-time NBA champion said.
