It was reported that McGee believes that his addition to the Phoenix Suns this season will help them win the title. And this has made fans on Twitter go wild. While many think this could be one of JaVale?s “Shaqtin’ a Fool” moments, some fans genuinely believe that he is a good addition to the squad.

The Trail Blazers drafted McGee’s father George Montgomery in the second round in 1985. But he didn?t play a game in the NBA. His mother Pamela McGee, has won two NCAA Division One championship, in 1983 and 1984. She has also won an Olympic gold medal in 1984.
Pamela was drafted in the 1997 WNBA draft by the Sacramento Monarchs. She starred for the Los Angeles Sparks and Sacramento Monarchs. JaVale is the first son of a WNBA player to ever play in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards selected JaVale McGee as the 18th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft. And he has been inconsistent throughout his career. He has a regular-season average of 8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in 821 games. In the postseason, he averages 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1 block per game in 69 games.

His career has been a roller coaster in terms of numbers and even reputation. Early in his career, McGee was featured a lot on “Shaqtin’ a Fool” during TNT’s “Inside the NBA”. When McGee called out Shaq for bullying him, his appearances on the blooper show stopped.?

He has won three NBA championships so far. Two back-to-back titles with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018. The third one with LeBron James and the Lakers in 2021. The Phoenix Suns lost the NBA finals last season against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Notably, the Suns won the first two games of the series but ended up losing the next four games. Giannis averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5 assists per game in the finals for the Bucks. And Devin Booker averaged? 28.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game in the finals for the Suns.
