Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest players ever to have played the game of basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was a force of nature on the basketball court. He was a physical force, unlike anyone in basketball. Basketball players are generally taller than most athletes, but Shaq dwarfed most of the basketball players. He had a rare combination of height and physicality.

What was also surprising about Shaq was that he was very nimble on his feet for someone his size. It allowed him to dominate the paint and the low post area with great footwork. And once he got that leverage using his sheer physicality, he would overwhelm the players and then dunk on them or reach the basket easily.
Since Shaq is used to dominating people, it is a rare sight whenever somebody can overcome or overwhelm Shaq physically. And one UFC fighter once did exactly this.

In an old video, we can see Shaq training at the UFC Performance Institute. While he is working out there, the current UFC heavyweight champion and one of the baddest men on the planet, Francis Ngannou, dropped in to say hello to Shaq. Once customaries were exchanged and they posed for a photo, Francis easily picked up Shaq. Everybody, including Shaq, was surprised at this.
Shaq then said, “Yeah, that’s the first time I have ever been picked up. See what you don’t understand when he would have picked me up like that, I would have just gone (gestures with his hands) and then I would have taken his face with this(gestures again).”
He further said, “And he would have came running at me and I would have gone behind the back. These are real fighters, so I have to let that go.”

Shaq was famous for his dunking. At his absolute peak, he could dunk on any player at a moment’s notice. He didn’t participate in any dunk contest but dunked in live games. He didn’t showboat during dunking.
His dunks were based on brute strength and power and just demolishing the opponent.
