Though Stephen Curry has not played for a while, with his shoulder injury holding him back, the leader has been seen on multiple occasions cheering for his team from the sidelines. The Golden State Warriors are slowly, but surely, climbing the ladder of the Western Conference. Their record of 20-18 places them as the seventh seed. In tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons (10-30), Curry was present along with his teammate Andre Iguodala.
A 24-year-old Warriors star impressed both the players so much, almost as if they were taken aback by the play.

Who stunned Stephen Curry?
Anthony Lamb indulged in his tricks to drive the ball to the basket in the second quarter. Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala looked at each other, pleasantly surprised at Lamb’s play. Curry even stopped eating and appeared to mouth, “Did you just see what he did out there?!“. Andre held up 2 points on his fingers.

At the end of the third quarter, Anthony Lamb had scored 17 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. He was the second-highest scorer on the team following Jordan Poole who posted 19 points, 4 rebounds, and assists each at the end of regulation.
According to NBC Sports, Lamb has been “impactful” as a “stop-gap” player. They noted that Lamb should feel good about his future within the franchise as “the Warriors tend to reward their two-way players“.

Curry and Andre Iguodala’s return
Head coach, Steve Kerr, informed that the veteran would be needed for the “back half of the season”. That game is slotted to be on 10 January. But Kerr has been vague about a specific date. The forward has not played in a single game this season due to a hip injury. However, his 19 years of experience have helped him be an “extension of the team’s coaching staff“.

The franchise, however, has given the NBA world a possible date for Stephen Curry’s return. The Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers hoped that the NBA champion would be back on his feet and back on the court by January 13. The date also marks the first game on their 5 game road trip.
