Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is often argued as the best player to ever play the game of basketball. He dominated almost every stat and segment on the court. Be it offense or defense, there was rarely anyone that towered over Michael Jordan.

However, when it comes to players literally towering over Jordan, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O?Neal once managed to do that in 1996.

Jordan is listed at 6?6 and for a shooting guard, he is quite tall. But any shooting guard would look small in front of a center. And in this rare photo of Michael Jordan talking to Shaquille O?Neal, fans could see that clear as day. The two were seen talking to each other before game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 1996.

Shaq is listed as 7?1, so it is natural that even a tall 6?6 Michal Jordan would look small in front of him. The two met prior to the game of the Eastern Conference Finals where the Bulls managed to defeat the Magic, ending the game with a 106-101 final score.

Even though Shaquille O’Neal seemed like the bigger man in the picture, quite evidently, it was Michael Jordan who had the upper hand in the game and the series. The Chicago Bulls ended up sweeping the Orlando Magic in the conference Finals.

And Jordan had one hell of a game. He finished the night with 45 points, three rebounds, and five assists. Even O?Neal had a wonderful game where he scored 28 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks for the night.

But in the end, it was Jordan who came out on top, even dwarfing the seven-foot giant. O?Neal?s tall size and muscular body often manages to make everyone look small in front of him.

Shaq and his transformation with the Lakers

Even though O?Neal hadn?t buffed up till he got to the Los Angeles Lakers later in his career, he still was quite strong and dominant when he was with the Orlando Magic. But as mentioned before, Jordan just flat-out dominated in every stat and segment there was.

MJ has never lost while appearing in the NBA finals, giving him a perfect 6-0 record. Which in turn equals his six NBA championships as opposed to Shaq?s four NBA championships. O?Neal too appeared in six NBA finals but lost two of them during his career.
