Shaquille O’Neal retired from the NBA years ago; however, the big man continues to be a massive fan favorite. People admire the NBA legend for his uptempo, kind, and giving personality. Interestingly, fans witnessed a collision of those traits as Shaq organized his second annual fundraising gala, ‘The Event’.
A live auction, supper, and many guest performances were part of the fundraiser. ‘The Event’, hosted at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, was a huge success, with all proceeds benefiting charity. Remarkably, a total of 1,300 guests and 5,000 concertgoers gathered for the event and over $2.8 million was raised for underprivileged children.

Adam Levine was one of the singers who performed and rocked the crowd with his vocals. The three-time Grammy Award winner took the stage with his band, Maroon 5. To the delight of the spectators, Shaq himself made a cameo on stage, joining Levine and making the crowd go crazy as they together sang the hit song ‘This Love’.
‘The Event’ was presented by Pepsi Stronger Together, and interestingly, PepsiCo’s President Derek Lewis was in attendance. He seemed to have relished his time away from his busy schedule as Levine and Shaq captivated with their vocals. He took to Instagram and posted a video of the two performing with the caption saying, “Only the best!”

Furthermore, Shaq’s family had the chance to meet the president of the $225 billion company. Taahirah O’Neal, the NBA legend’s daughter, shared an Instagram story of herself and her siblings with Lewis.

Adam Levine performed at ‘The Event’ and was instrumental in making it a massive success. However, the acclaimed musician has recently been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Levine found himself in hot water after allegations of him cheating on his wife, Behati Prinsloo, spread like wildfire.
Interestingly, even Shaquille O’Neal weighed in on the singer’s current situation. Talking to TMZ a few days before ‘The Event’, the big man remarked that Levine is a good man and has always been one. “Adam is a personal friend of mine. He’s always been a great guy,” he said.

He then noted that he and his band, Maroon 5, will be performing at ‘The Event’. Moreover, Shaq remarked that the singer coming out to help the kids says a lot about how good of a man he is.
Shaq then stated that it is not his job to declare or judge what is right and wrong. He also indicated that Adam Levine will weather the storm and be out of this situation shortly.
