The hunt for the new coach for the Los Angeles Lakers is officially underway. Several big names have already been dropped to coach LeBron James and co. And now a legendary rapper wants to try his luck at the job and he wants to bring in Shaquille O’Neal as his assistant.
Master P is a rapper, actor, and entrepreneur and he is also the founder of No Limit Records. He is also a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been a fan since the old days of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar to Kobe Bryant, and Shaq.

According to him, the Lakers are not used to missing the playoffs, especially when they have a star-studded team. And with the Lakers in need of a head coach, Master P has an interesting proposition for them.
Master P says he will bring a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers and will hire Shaq as an assistant coach
P was asked if could coach the Lakers. He had previously tried to get an interview with the New Orleans Pelicans. He says that if given the chance he will get a championship with the Lakers. P says that this is Hollywood and crazy things happen around here. He requested Lakers owner Jeanie Buss to bring him in for an interview.

When asked what could they expect if he was the Lakers, he said, “Bring me in, I can help get us some W’s. Championship.” He has previous coaching experience, and he also coached Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan. He was also asked how he would deal with big personalities like LeBron and Westbrook.
P adds, “They need some alpha males over there, Cant get nothing bigger than me. If you want to win, bring me in… I’ll bring some hell of assistant coaches with me. Shaq, John Lucas. I don’t know if Shaq want to do that, but if he do, we can take over. I can’t see another team like that.”

P may not land the job, but you have to admire his confidence and passion. He definitely has some serious competition to worry about. But he seems like he has a plan as he wants former players like Shaq and Lucas with him.
