NBA Legend Shaquille O?Neal has multiple successful businesses, but there is one thing that he owned, which is not known by many. Shaq actually was a minority owner of an NBA team that is worth $2.06 billion. He did have to sell his stake this year, but that didn’t stop the team from getting trashed by his colleagues and co-hosts.

The Sacramento Kings are one of the 30 teams in the NBA. Shaq had bought an ownership stake in 2013 and he had to sell his stake due to the rules of the NBA. The Kings have the longest drought in the NBA right now. They have not made the playoffs since the 2006 season. The closest they came was in the 2019 season, where they finished 9th in the West.

The team which was owned by Shaquille O?Neal gets humiliated

Recently, Shaq was on his podcast, and he also had his colleague Kenny Smith with him. They were talking about which teams will make the playoffs next year and which teams to watch out for. One of Shaq’s co-hosts, Nischelle Turner, says the Sacramento Kings will make the playoffs. And then all hell breaks loose.

Shaq made fun of Turner saying that her team was the Suns and now she has switched teams. The Suns had an epic meltdown in the playoffs last year and Shaq has been mocking Turner for some time now. She also says that they will make the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

Kenny then adds,” I mean look, man… If I throw somebody in the ocean and they can’t swim, then I throw them in a week later, they can’t swim again. You don’t learn to swing in a week. We’ve seen what they are. When Shaq was an owner, we used to give them a little bit of a break,”

Shaq didn’t jump in to defend his former owned team, but he did not take any shots as well. Unless they make the playoffs consistently for a few years now, they will have to take similar backlashes.
