Lakers are reportedly interested in getting Mitchell to play with LeBron James
With the Jazz looking to rebuild, the Lakers have seemed to enter the fray as well. According to reports, the Lakers are interested in Donovan Mitchell. While the Lakers don’t have a lot of assets, they do have a couple of future first-round picks. They also have Russell Westbrook to potentially trade. And with the Utah Jazz in rebuilding, they may be interested in what the Lakers have to offer.
Donovan Mitchell came into the league in 2017, and he has arguably been a revelation since. He is a three-time All-Star and is also a scoring machine. Mitchell is a good passer as well. He was the leader of the Jazz last season and their go-to scoring option. He is a career 24 PPG scorer, and he is also an excellent three-point shooter.

The combination of LeBron James, Mitchell, and Anthony Davis could be lethal. Mitchell will likely give the Lakers a third scoring option and he also doesn’t need the ball as much. He can be a spot-up shooter and cutter and then take over from James and Davis when needed. And this move would undoubtedly make the Los Angeles Lakers title contenders.
