The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a great start to the season. Their offseason move to get Donovan Mitchell has paid off and the three-time All-Star has been spectacular so far. But against the Hawks, the $163 million star made a late-game blunder, and he soon labeled himself, a terrible teammate.
The Cavs made the biggest move in the offseason as they went out and got Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. They broke the bank for him as they gave up four players and four picks. So far, Mitchell has been a revelation. He has been averaging 29.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 6 APG on nearly 50% shooting from the field and 41% shooting the three-point range.

Donovan Mitchell steals a rebound off the Cavaliers star to deny him a double-double
In their most recent matchup, the Cavs took the Atlanta Hawks, the team which knocked them out of the play-in tournament last year. The Cavs took care of business as they were able to secure a 114-102 victory over the Hawks. But at the end of the game, Mitchell made a blunder that ended up costing his teammate.
With the game over, the Hawks took one last shot to avoid a turnover and they missed it. As the ball was coming down, Mitchell grabbed it and secured his rebound. What he didn’t notice was that his teammate, Evan Mobley, was also reaching for the rebound. If Mobley had gotten the rebound, he would have gotten a double-double.
