At the 2022 San Fransisco Spirits competition, James’ tequila brand, Lobos 1707 beat Michael Jordan’s Cincoro tequila to win the Best Reposado Tequila award. It is a great achievement for LeBron, as Lobos 1707 has been on a rise in recent years. Fellow NBA player Draymond Green is also an investor in the tequila brand. The Golden State Warriors celebrated their NBA Championship win a few days ago with Lobos 1707 tequila.
James has been an avid businessman for a number of years now. He has invested in companies that have helped him earn the status of ‘billionaire’. From soccer clubs to pizza franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers star makes millions in revenue. Along with his business partner, Maverick Carter, and his agent, Rich Paul, LeBron has meticulously invested his money.
LeBron invested in Lobos tequila because of how well made it was. He said he wanted to invest as soon as he learned more about the brand. It was a huge win for everyone associated with Lobos, as this was the biggest iteration of the competition ever. Diego Osorio, founder of Lobos 1707, said, “We are extremely proud to have our tequila recognized by the most prestigious spirits competition in the world”.

LeBron James has been trying to catch Michael Jordan‘s legacy for some time now. Even though he has won 2 championships less than MJ, LeBron has broken numerous records. He is also close to surpassing the great Kareem Abdul Jabbar to become the leader in all-time points scored.
While LeBron is about to begin year 20 in the NBA, he is still far from finished. He averaged over 30 points per game last year. He will be hoping to win at least one more title before he finally decides to call it a day.
