LeBron James has defined longevity throughout his legendary career. The King will be entering his 20th year as an NBA player; however, he has shown no signs of slowing down. He’s still the exceptional all-around player that the world remembers from the 2010s.

James may no longer be the freakish athlete he once was, but he has honed his skills with time. Striving to improve every department of his game, along with his exceptional conditioning, has catapulted him to this level. His journey and success has elevated him to the ranks of one of the NBA’s all-time greats.

Many would call James the best ever to step foot on the NBA hardwood; however, his own son surprisingly went the way of ‘His Airness’ instead.

LeBron James‘ second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers was filled with ups and downs. But, through the trials and tribulations, he led the franchise to their first-ever NBA title in spectacular fashion. Following his historic championship run in 2016, many considered him to be the greatest of all time, even surpassing the great Michael Jordan. Bronny James, his eldest son though, it seems did not get on the LeBron James hype train.

During the 2016-17 season, James led his squad to a 2-0 Conference Finals lead?against the Boston Celtics. He surpassed Jerry West on the all-time postseason scoring list during the game. TNT’s Rachel Nichol also noted James passing Michael Jordan on the all-time playoff assists chart during a mid-game interview.

She also stated that Bronny was the one who informed his father of his new accomplishment. However, he jumped on the Jordan bandwagon and hurled shade at his own father while breaking the good news to him.

Bronny disses his father LeBron James

The 2016-17 season saw LeBron James and the Cavaliers reach the NBA Finals for the third season in a row. However, the formidable Golden State Warriors proved too much for the reigning champions as they lost to them five games. Nonetheless, James put on a show in the playoffs and was a big reason the Cavs made it to the Finals.

On their road to the Finals, James passed Michael Jordan on the all-time playoffs list. While this is a massive feat in itself, Bronny James wasn’t having it. Bronny informed his father of his new milestone according to Rachel Nichols, but he countered that LeBron “couldn’t beat MJ in much of anything else.”?

Nichols interviewed James after the game. She asked what did he think of his son being only mildly impressed by his dad’s new achievement. James went on to brush away the burn and stated that he was focused on being a good role model for his son.

“Hopefully I can continue to make him proud,” James said. “Continue to be the leader, be a role model, be the father for my kids and give them to roadmap to success.”

Fair to say, LeBron James has given his kids the roadmap to success. Bronny and Bryce both have shown a lot of potential in becoming future NBA stars in their own rights. Both are presently high school prospects working their way up to the level that will allow them to turn professional and may be follow in the footsteps of their father one day.
