One of the greatest basketball players of all time, Shaquille O’Neal, acquired a number of nicknames during the course of his career, mostly because of his huge stature and domination in the court. Shaq’s physical presence was impressive enough on its own, standing at a towering 7 feet 1 inch and weighing more than 300 pounds. This led to him being innocently referred to as ‘Shaq Diesel,’ a reference to his powerful motions that were reminiscent of an explosive engine. Additionally, the names ‘Superman’ and ‘The Man of Steel’ came from his enormous body and capacity for defeating opponents. His stature and agility astounded both spectators and analysts, who dubbed him ‘The Big Aristotle’ for his enlightened approach to the game.

However, not all of these nicknames were pleasant. A 29-year-old pop icon even went on to call him ‘Donkey Kong.’ However, it seems like he has let it pass since Shaquille O’Neal was recently left impressed by a video of the pop-icon that went viral.

Much like Shaquille O’Neal in the NBA, Pete Davidson has become a well-known personality in the comedy world. Davidson became famous as a cast member of the venerable sketch comedy program ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL). He made his debut in 2014 when he was just 20 years old. His self-deprecating wit and intimate experiences from his own life have made his comedy style popular with audiences all over the world.

However, to the surprise of many, it seems like Pete Davidson might as well be good with hoops as he is with his jokes. Shaquille O’Neal recently shared a clip of Pete Davidson on his Instagram. And it wasn’t a clip of him making jokes. Rather, he was on the basketball court, leaving even the NBA mogul impressed.

Pete Davidson once called Shaquille O’Neal ‘Donkey Kong’

Few people have the brazen audacity to confront a towering behemoth. The well-known stand-up comedian and ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast member Pete Davidson showed he was up to the task when he launched a string of hilarious and audacious roasts targeting none other than Shaquille O’Neal.

The incident took place at a celebrity roast when comedians had the chance to take lighthearted jabs at other celebrities. Little did Shaquille O’Neal know what a comic barrage awaited him as he took his seat. Pete Davidson, who is renowned for his irreverent and no-holds-barred approach to comedy, was prepared to saunter to the front and demolish Shaq.

Pete Davidson dove right into his routine and didn’t hold back. He made use of the perfect blend of witty one-liners and demanding humor to fearlessly make fun of Shaq’s enormous height, his on-court accomplishments, and even his personal life.
