Shaquille O’Neal is quite literally the most recognizable entity within the NBA. While his tall frame is definitely a giveaway, it’s his personality and likability that makes him so popular. A dominant player on the court, Shaq has managed to take the dominance with him off the court. As a result, the NBA legend own a business portfolio worth $400 million making him one of the richest NBA stars.

Known to give back to people, Shaq has an etiquette that reflects his immense successes. Frequently seen conversing with the younger generation in a polite, respectful manner, the big man exudes class. But with all that said, Shaq still had a rough childhood barring him from learning a few important lessons.

A lesson that could come in handy for the gigantic Shaq

During an appearance on the podcast Shootin the Que, hosts and creators of Hey Grill Hey Susie and Todd Bulloch spoke on many topics including about Shaq. The couple was involved in a show with the Los Angeles Lakers legend and had many things to share about their backroom shenanigans.

Elaborating about the show with Shaq, Susie stated. “(It was) to launch his restaurant concept called ‘Big Chicken Shaq’.” While the show revolved around Shaq and him tasting new foods for his restaurant, the host went on to reveal that there was another content concept introduced by the producers.

Revealing the details of the content, the BBQ afficionado stated, “They wanted in-between content of actually cooking with Shaq, because he has no food experience.” Continuing to explain she said, “It was kind of this joke that, this ginormous man who cannot cook anything is opening a restaurant.”

Going on about how Shaq never made his own Turkey for thanksgiving, Suzie recalls thinking, “We live different.” With the center’s story of his rough childhood a common knowledge to most, it’s no surprise that Shaq never had a lesson in cooking.

Shaq’s $400,000,000 business empire

Shaquille O’Neal is known for his philanthropic nature, but the magnitude of it could have been different, if not for his enormous net worth. With an estimated $400 million to his name Shaq has built quite an impressive portfolio for himself. Owning multiple franchise businesses that include Papa Johns, Auntie Anne’s and Krispy Kreme, the big man is quite the tycoon.

In addition to those businesses, Shaq has sold over 150 million pairs of affordable sneakers in Walmart, while investing in companies like Google and Ring that made him millions in stock. With all that said Shaq is not stingy with his money. Often seen helping those in need Shaq is indeed a real-life Batman!
