In a blockbuster trade, James Harden was sent to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons. The team is aiming to win a title this season, playing with Harden and Joel Embiid on the front lines. However, as per Gilbert Arenas, the team will not even make it past the first round.

In a recent interview, Arenas spoke about the 76ers in detail. He also focused on the playoffs and how they might perform.

After all, the regular season and playoffs bring out something different in every team.

Does Gilbert Arenas think James Harden and the 76ers can win the championship?

During his recent interview, Arenas was confident in his claim–the Sixers are not winning any title this season.

“I don’t even have them getting on the first round,” Arenas said. “Unless they play the Bulls–no, not even the Bulls. If they play Toronto or Cleveland.”

Everybody else, as per Arenas, is too disciplined. He even mentioned the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, and the Brooklyn Nets, mentioning that these teams will win. “Like, you have to be perfect. That team ain’t disciplined”.

Harden’s addition to the team was met with excitement. However, many believe it won’t be enough to win a championship this year. Both Embiid and Harden might have to make some sacrifices and maybe focus on their progress together.

While speaking of Harden specifically, Arenas believes he might never be happy. “He’s never had to adapt, he don’t have the off-the-ball scoring, he don’t have those plays, he has the play, give me the ball at the top of the key, I’m gonna play the ISO-ball,” he said. Furthermore, he believes that if Harden does not compromise, he will not be able to play and stay happy.

That being said, the 76ers are currently placed second in the Eastern Conference with a 44-27 win-loss record. Despite the doubts and concerns coming their way, many still believe the team has a good chance of winning. Furthermore, while Harden is another star added to the roster, they have Embiid leading the team while garnering MVP mentions.
