After losing Game 3 at home, the Minnesota Timberwolves were desperate to avoid the sweep. To this point, there has been just one 4-0 sweep in these playoffs, and that was by the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite being down 3 to nothing, Anthony Edwards’ resilient ‘It ain’t over‘ claim set the tone for Game 4. It was bound to be a battle between the Wolves and the Denver Nuggets. Minnesota, who refuses to get swept, held a slight lead at the half. The cameras switched to the TNT studio, where the Inside the NBA crew was expected to give some analysis. Revered host Ernie Johnson kicked things off first and felt the game needed a ‘Redbull‘. Johnson might have chosen his words wisely, but Barkley is a man with no filter. He made it clear he wasn’t enjoying MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic’s game tonight.
Instead, Barkley chose to keep up with the NHL playoffs. “I was watching hockey on TBS I’m not gonna lie. This game is boring as hell” said the former Phoenix Suns star about the contest between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
