There is an unsaid bond between basketball and golf. Many of our favorite icons can be seen on the golf course. One of them is Michael Jordan. Even after his retirement, he has always searched for different avenues to showcase his innate talents. Jordan has been one of the most competitive athletes to enter the world of NBA and dominate the game. But he considers golf as a sport that dominated him.

Considering Jordan’s remarkable accomplishments, it is difficult for him to avoid the media, admirers, and the spotlight. At 59, he spends a major chunk of his time on the golf course. Over the years, Jordan has tried his hand at many sports. One of them was baseball. However, after a season, his performance could not measure up to the hype.
Many consider it a failure, but Jordan’s competitive spirit never died. Jordan had no plan to slow down anytime soon. He was then spotted on the motorcycle racing grounds where he enjoyed the thrilling experience of the dangerous sport.
Michael Jordan and his fondness for golf
Jordan’s bond with golf is quite unique. His competitiveness and passion for golf are admired by many. Jordan’s passion for the sport is self-explanatory since he spent $20 million to build his own golf course.
According to him, he has proven his name in basketball. Now he is addicted to golf. Golf is one of the hardest sports to master, and every time it reminds Jordan that he has a lot to achieve. This is what makes golf special for Jordan.

He said, “For a competitive junkie like me, golf is a great solution because it smacks you in the face every time you think you have accomplished something. That to me has taken over a lot of the energy and competitiveness for basketball.”

The world is aware of many of Jordan’s golf stories and the connection he has made on the course. Jordan revealed that his favorite golfer is Jordan Spieth. Moreover, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, have been spotted together on several occasions.

Stephen Curry is another basketball icon that loves golf as much as Jordan. The Warriors legend and the Bulls legend have been spotted on the golf course together on certain occasions as well. Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry will be playable characters in the PGA Tour 2K23 video game.
