The stakes for a golf exhibition game might have never been higher than today. Las Vegas’ Wynn Golf Club is hosting The Match VIII, one of the most anticipated contests in recent times. This year, the exhibition game has adopted the theme of ‘tandems’. And gracing the course are two of the most dominant duos in modern sports. Representing the NFL are Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs’ favorite connection. Standing in front are the NBA’s Splash Brothers – Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

With the sun out, it is a perfect day for the swinging in Las Vegas. But who knew Charles Barkley would somehow turn the jets on Draymond Green?

Dub Nation got an early off-season shock only weeks ago. Green, who has spent his entire career in the Bay opted out of his player contract. Since then, the fans have been awaiting his impending free agency decision. As a UFA, the NBA world is pretty much his oyster. Several teams have already reached out to the 2017 DPOY. Yet, there is no clarity on what is going on in Green’s mind.

Draymond Green himself has been very quiet about his decision since the news of his opting out ratted the NBA fans. However, with Charles Barkley around, we knew the conversation would somehow come up. But Sir Charles never takes the direct, professional route. Instead, he chose to troll the four-time champion.

“Draymond talk a lot for a guy who ain’t got no job. He ain’t got a job he should be nice to me,” said the NBA Hall of Famer.

Even Draymond Green couldn’t hold it in. He immediately cracked up while closely watching the golf action unfold in front of his eyes. As the peacekeeper, Ernie Johnson decided to address the elephant in the room. He was hopeful the defensive forward could clear out the fog. But Barkley reiterated the same question, just with a different emotion.

“Dray, you going to Detroit on this red-eye tonight or you going back to the Bay?”

Yet again, the commentating cast got high on laughter as Charles Barkley embarrassed Green – call it payback for the times the four-time All-Star berated him in the TNT studio.

Despite Barkley’s scathing pressure, Draymond Green didn’t crack. Reports have claimed he is looking for a contract in the ballpark of $100 million for four years. Stephen Curry has asked the Golden State Warriors front office to re-sign Green. There is also a popular belief that the 33-year-old will remain a part of the Bay come next season. However, he can never discount a surprising move in the NBA, history is enough proof of the most unimaginable free agency decisions.
