James’ contract was last extended in 2022 for a whopping $97.1 million, which will continue through the 2024-25 season. Despite the contract figures being massive, there’s someone who’s contending for LeBron’s top earners’ spot.

And it’s not another NBA player. It is a streamer. Yes!! A recent report suggests that a streamer has signed a $100 million worth of deal with a rival. That’s $10 million more than the legendary NBA player. Now, the 27-year-old streamer’s latest multi-million dollar move has made way for comparison with LeBron James, despite the latter’s superstardom and massive business empire. Unsurprisingly, the comparison doesn’t sit well with hoops fans.

Canadian Esports sensation Felix Lengyel a.k.a xQc recently made the headlines. Earlier this month, Lengyel had bid farewell to Twitch after his four-year stint with them, joining Kick for a lucrative deal. The 27-year-old has reportedly signed a two-year $70 million deal to stream on the Australia-based streaming company. Besides the $70 million, the deal further includes approximately $30 million in potential performance-based bonuses.

With a payout potential totaling to $100 million, xQc will earn more than the 4x-NBA champion LeBron James. And that Lengyel has a larger contract has already grabbed the attention of many.

Pubity, on their Instagram page, recently posted about xQc’s $100 million deal. The post contains images of xQc and James, with a caption that reads:“xQc who has nearly 12 million Twitch followers has signed a deal worth $100 million with Twitch’s rivals Kick‼️💰To put it into prospective in August 2022 LeBron James, signed a $97 million deal for a 2-year extension with his team.”

Pubity’s post has indeed caught the attention of the NBA world. However, few are happy with the comparison.

According to fans, that xQc has a more lucrative contract than James has nothing to do with his legacy. The King’s legacy is far beyond his salary. Fans themselves have stated that James has become a household name in America. Apparently, fans stated it was unwise to compare the streamer and the baller just because one earns more than the other. “Why u comparing this kid to LeGoat James,” said a fan.
