In an interview on The Steam Room, Charles Barkley opened up about what it was like to feature for Team USA at the Olympics.

Barkley said, “You know Ernie, I will say this. I’ve been blessed to go to the Olympics twice, and it is I agree with Mr. Foreman. When you are standing up there and they’re playing the national anthem. I couldn’t believe the chills I was getting in my body. I did a lot of really fun stuff. When you’re standing on the podium and they’re playing the national anthem, you feel a certain type of way. My heart was racing, I was getting goosebumps.”

Charle Barkley made it clear that nothing comes close to representing his nation at the Olympics. Going by his word’s winning a gold medal at the Olympics is probably the biggest accomplishment in his career. In the year 2000, he retired for good from the NBA. At the time he was the only fourth player in the league’s history to get 20000 points, 10000 rebounds, and 4000 assists.

In the interview with Ernie Johnson, legendary boxer George Foreman also described what it was like to feature for the United States of America.
