Apart from their regular appearances on Inside the NBA, the beloved duo of Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson entertain a lot of celebrities on their podcast, The Steam Room. After stars like Tom Brady and Ben Affleck revealed intriguing stories about their lives on the podcast, Barkley and Johnson were joined by 74-year-old Boxing icon, George Foreman, who opened up about his career as a boxer, pastor, and entrepreneur.
The two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, George Foreman, discussed the release of his new film, Big George Foreman, and how to stay fit at 74 in the latest episode of The Steam Room?podcast. Additionally, he spilled some beans about his life before delving deeper into the aforementioned topics.
George Foreman ventured into various careers

Shortly after Foreman joined them over the air, Barkley said it was an honor and privilege to see him every time and also thanked him for being on the podcast. The former Philadelphia 76ers star complimented Foreman by saying he has had an extraordinary life as he went from a boxing champion to pastor to again a boxing champion. The 11x NBA All-Star asked him to elaborate on his life.

The two-time world heavyweight champion said that having fathered 10 children, he had to find a way to feed all of them. While he admitted it was rough, he enjoyed it. He added, “I started off the most magnificent moment of my life was becoming an Olympic gold medalist.”
“What a big part of my life, being champion of the world, facing Joe Frazier, even Muhammad Ali – losing to him and then having to stop boxing become a preacher then starving again. Have to come back and be heavyweight champ of the world again – 20 years later,” Foreman said. This made Johnson chuckle in disbelief and say, “It’s quite a story.”?
Moreover, Foreman, who is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, revealed why the Olympic Gold was the greatest moment of his life, something Barkley agreed with.
Charles Barkley concurred with Foreman about the Olympics
Johnson asked Foreman whether winning the gold medal in the Olympics is still the greatest moment of his life. The 74-year-old replied, “The greatest moment of my life. I was 19. I’d never had a dream to come true ever in my life. Every day I kept thinking I can do something else.” He further added that all the other things come second to the Olympics.
Having won an Olympic Gold himself, Barkley agreed with Foreman. “It is when you’re standing up there and they’re playing the national anthem, I couldn’t believe the chills I was getting in my body…My heart was racing, I was getting goosebumps.”?This made Foreman say, “What a description. What that is exactly the way it is.”
