NBA buffs are considered lucky to live in this era of basketball. To be able to witness LeBron James break the record to become the latest NBA scoring leader is an eye-pleasant watch. This is a record that is broken once in a blue moon, as it took 38 years to break the record set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Charles Barkley, former NBA star of the Phoenix Suns believes these superstars must be celebrated. Although, some fans do not seem to have a similar vision. 

NBA’s latest decision and plans for the All-Star weekend do not seem to receive a lot of love from the fans. Fans do not seem to welcome Charles Barkley‘s vision of celebrating the NBA legends, as they think it might be ‘overdoing’ things.

Business reporter Mike Vorkunov of ‘The Athletic’ announced the NBA will be honoring Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James. A special event during the half-time of the All-Star game is set to take place for the King’s recent milestone. The All-Star game is set to take place on 20th February this weekend.

Barkley in his recent interview with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, took time to share the importance of celebrating NBA legends. The 1993 MVP believes the ancestors and these legends are the ones who raise the bar for the upcoming generation. Anyhow, the fans do not seem to understand the vision of Barkley’s. The NBA previously honored the Lakers star right after his record-breaking shot in his game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Fans raise concerns after several stars are set to miss out on the All-Star game

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry who put on a show for the fans last season, will miss this year’s game due to a knee injury. Phoenix Suns’ recent addition Kevin Durant will miss out on the All-Star game for the fourth consecutive time.
