One gesture of mutual respect and admiration occurred when renowned NBA stars marked their presence during the Aces’ battle against Mercury on the last day of games before the WNBA All-Star.

Donovan Mitchell was seen courtside along with Grant Williams, Torrey Craig and the Miami Heat‘s superstar Bam Adebayo. The Aces’ forward A’Ja Wilson couldn’t help but welcome the group.

If you are anyone who follows the Cleveland Cavaliers guard on Twitter, you’d know that he was definitely in the arena to support A’Ja.

The wholesome moment shared by the squad was widely cherished and admired by basketball fans everywhere.

NBA stars have supported the growth of the WNBA for a long time. During the bubble season in 2020, NBA stars like Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker and Chris Paul, and others were seen wearing the ‘orange hoodie’. The superstars did so to promote the start of the WNBA season.

Donovan Mitchell and the WNBA champion recently indulged in a lighthearted banter on Twitter. Knicks guard Josh Hart and Nets’ wing Mikal Bridges also chimed into the conversation.

The WNBA is projected for an estimated $200 million in revenue this year. In a world of web, the TV viewership increased by 16% for regular season when compared to last year. Additionally, the recent playoffs gathered the most views for the league in past 20 years.

Apart from the four stars, other NBA stars like John Wall, Paul George and USA Basketball’s own Coach K were also seen witnessing the game.

The Aces cruized through victory over Phoenix Mercury with 98-72. Phoenix had four players scoring in double digits, but they couldn’t find a match for A’Ja Wilson and Jackie Young. The duo combined for 43 points.

WNBA All-Stars 2023

The WNBA is all set to host its All-Star Game in Las Vegas. The game will take place in Las Vegas’ Michelob Ultra Arena. Similar to last year, Breanna Stewart and A’Ja Wilson are named as team captains. They drafted their teams on Saturday.

The WNBA All Star festivities are set to begin on July 14. Apart from the much-awaited All-Star game, an enhanced format of skills challenge is also set to be in action.

The 3-point challenge will follow the Skills Challenge and then the All-Star game between Team Stewart and Wilson. One of the most exciting?players to watch out for is Kelsey Plum. She recently wrote Las Vegas history by making the most threes in franchise history. She is the reigning All-Star MVP and will side with Team Wilson this year.
