The incident started to flare up when Gilbert Arenas responded to KAT’s comments, defending his team’s achievement. KAT argues that?Timberwolves‘ run was more special than Nuggets‘ win. It was more special because they had less time and still managed to succeed.
Gilbert took offense at this remark and said, ?See, you put that playing game man and you got silly m***erf***er thinking that they won a championship. That ain’t no damn championship, bro. That’s eighth spot, right? So you got that’s delusion right there.?
Now when Gilbert made these remarks, Rashad McCants was also there. Upon hearing all this, he nods in agreement.
?Patrick Beverley, a former teammate of LeBron James stood up for KAT. He questioned whether Arenas and his co-host, Rashad McCants, had watched the entire episode or just clips of it. He further argues how ignorant their comments are, since they fail to understand what KAT really means about camaraderie and Timberwolves’ teamwork.?
His counter reply to Gilbert states, “Because if you listen to the pod, the pod spoke about how we got together team-wise. Camaraderie, not about the success we had on the basketball court, and where that took us to play the question was camaraderie.”
Beverley’s Ruthless Revelation about McCants
Amidst this heated exchange, Beverley dropped a bombshell about his history with Rashad McCants to discredit anything he had to say. Rashad was in the headlines before when he was thrashed by fans in calling Michael Jordan ?The Biggest Fraud in the History of Sports?.?
Patrick revealed that during a tryout for the Lakers early in his career; he made McCants quit.?
