The NBA landscape in the 90s was dominated by just one-man and one team, Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. They were so dominant in the 90s that they won six NBA championships. This was the peak of Jordan-Mania. And it wasn’t like the NBA didn’t have good championship contending teams in the 90s. Rockets led by Hakeem Olajuwon, Jazz led by Karl Malone were all talented teams. But, the Bulls were just too good for their era.
The New York Knicks led by Patrick Ewing were also very dominating during that era. But the Bulls constantly thwarted the Knicks’ efforts to win a championship.

Bulls Dominance in the 90s
Gary Vee, a businessman and motivational speaker with a net worth of $200 million dollars is a diehard Knicks fan. He lately made an appearance on a podcast hosted by 76ers vet, Pat Beverley. In the podcast, Gary Vee vented out all his frustration and heartache of the 90s: “Do you know that I have never worn a pair of Air Jordans? Because I am 47-years-old and a Knicks fan, and you wear Air Jordans. Get the F**k out of here, I have never worn them. F**k him and the Bulls”.

Gary Vee’s outburst makes it certain that he is annoyed with Jordan and the Bulls. The Bulls dominated the Knicks in their match ups, season after season. But the Knicks weren’t the only team that were fed up with the Bulls dominance.
Teams such as the Jazz, Pistons and the Suns were all defeated comprehensively by the Bulls on their way to six rings.

Post MJ Misery for the Bulls fans
For a fanbase accustomed to success in the 90s, post Jordan era for the Bulls fans were rough. The franchise was easily the worst team in the league for a good five to six years. The front office could not build a competitive side for quite a while.
But in 2008, the Bulls drafted an athletic point guard from the University of Memphis named Derrick Rose. The Bulls handed him the keys to the franchise and built a competitive roster around him. Players such as Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler were all part of an existing Bulls team of the early 10s. But injuries and LeBron James derailed their title hopes.
