LeBron James has been an inspiration for many. He is a global icon and the reason for the sport being so popular. People on the NBA roster aspire to play like him and dream to play with the ‘King’ himself.
Likewise, a young NBA star, who has made considerable headway in the past couple of seasons, admires LeBron and perceives him as his idol. Recently, he revealed how the prospect of teaming up with the four-time NBA champion, who defeated his side this season.

NBA All-Star admires LeBron James despite losing to him
Already an All-Star at 23, Tyrese Haliburton, the young point guard, is living his dream. He was the Eastern Conference Player of the League last season, averaging 21 points, 11 assists, and 4 rebounds. He also became the 15th player in NBA history to average 20+ points and 10+ assists for an entire season.
Haliburton has expressed his feelings towards James several times on his social media. Recently he was on Podcast P and was asked about his run in the NBA so far by the host Paul George.
Haliburton was asked to describe what he thought when he made it in the NBA. The #0 mentioned how he envisioned himself with the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside legend James. “After the draft, you know how they come up with a way to early mock draft for the following year? I was like 31 to the Lakers and I was like… am I gonna play LeBron James?”
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case when the draft went to floors in 2020. Haliburton claimed a ticket to the Sacramento Kings, before moving to Indiana for the 2021-22 season. He played against LeBron last season, but how did that end up for the youngster?

When Tyrese Haliburton went up against his idol on the court
Haliburton had returned from a long injury break to face the Purple and Gold last season. The Indiana Pacers were very close to winning the game, but the Lakers managed their way out of this abysmal situation.

The star performer of the night was Haliburton, who finished with 26 points and 12 assists. Everyone noticed his remarkable performance, which almost led the team to victory.

Haliburton, at a remarkably young age, has achieved tremendous success, both financially through his exorbitant contract and as the center of attention within his team. Demonstrating his value, he tactfully plays the game in a manner that does not allow him to go unnoticed and makes him a valuable asset to his team. As long as he continues on this path, he is destined to achieve even greater accomplishments.
