Stephen Curry’s mother, Sonya Curry,? appeared in an interview with ‘FOX 5 New York.’ While on the interview, she talked about her upcoming book, ‘Fierce Love.’ It is a memoir of family, purpose, and faiths listed on the book’s cover. She also talked about the experience of bringing up three legendary athletes in her family. While Sonya played a crucial role in Steph’s upbringing, she also denied Curry an opportunity that could have changed his life.
She then revealed Steph’s distaste towards her in the interview.

Sonya said, ” He didn’t come in for curfew and he kind of walked in and was like ‘What’s up..’ But then you know again with my school and everything, it’s like natural consequences. Here’s a rule and now this is the consequence. “
However, she still has second thoughts about it to this day.
She continued, ” And having to follow through and again doubting myself. He, to this day still says that he didn’t get recruited in the manner that he wanted to and by some of the higher level schools because he didn’t go get to go to this tournament. So you know and then I go ‘Maybe that was right.'”
