The San Francisco 49ers began their NFL playoff journey in dominant style with a 41-23 thrashing of the Seattle Seahawks. The rookie sensation, Brock Purdy, played a pivotal role in the win. In his first playoff start, the 23-year-old put up a historic performance. In doing so, he caught the attention of one of the biggest stars in the NBA, LeBron James.
Purdy took the center stage opportunity with both his hands. He hit on target on 18 off his 31 throws. In addition, Purdy didn’t have a single interception. He threw for 332 yards with three TDs. According to NBC Sports, he became the first rookie in the Super Bowl era to throw and run for a touchdown in a playoff debut. It was arguably a performance for the ages as Purdy rallied San Francisco over the Seahawks.
Moreover, his performance surely caught many eyes. One of them was LeBron James who praised the young star on his historic night. Likewise, as a fan of King James, Purdy was more than delighted to hear the news.

LeBron James acknowledges Brock Purdy’s game
After his exceptional display against Seattle, Purdy became a hero in the media. With reporters swarming him, one broke out the news that got the 23-year-old smiling teeth to teeth. The reporter told the rising QB about the acknowledgment from one of his idols, LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers forward tweeted, “Purdy Got Game!!”
After admitting he was a huge LeBron James fan, the QB got the big reveal. Brock Purdy replied, “LeBron said that? Oh that’s sweet.“

The 49ers played great football to break down a tough Seattle side. Purdy earned his praises after an eventful night pit. However, the pressure is still on his shoulder to deliver in the divisional round next up. If San Francisco can replicate their performance against the Seahawks, they might go on to shock the NFL.
