NBA fans are finally feeling hopeful about the Los Angeles Lakers. After a series of disappointing games, it might be possible for the team to redeem themselves and grab their first win of the new season. At least, that’s what fans are thinking. To date, the Lakers have lost all three games they have played so far. What probably made fans lose their minds was when LeBron James and co. lost in spectacular fashion at the very end against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Lakers faced the Portland Trail Blazers on October 24, 2022. The Lakers had already lost the previous two games, but fans were quite sure they would be able to defeat the Trail Blazers. However, poor judgment from Lakers guard Russell Westbrook led the team to lose for the third consecutive time. With just 30 seconds remaining on the clock, Russ decided it was best to attempt a jump shot. The Lakers were up by 102-101, but the failed shot from Westbrook paved the way for Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers to snatch the win.
Post-game, fans started expressing their disappointment in Russ. Many even demanded the team trade him off. While LeBron James refused to give his comments on Westbrook, The Athletic took to the social media platform to inform about Russ’ involvement in the next Lakers game.
