Only a few days ago, a bombshell dropped on the NBA world. Kevin Durant surprised everyone after he requested the Brooklyn Nets for a trade. The two-time NBA champion is an offensive killer with Brooklyn and could have had another year with Kyrie Irving. However, it seems things are just falling apart for the Nets. The Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat are reportedly on Durant’s list of desirable destinations. But a return back to the Bay can’t be written off.
In 2016, the Golden State Warriors were on top of the mountain. After winning their first championship in a decade the previous season, they made history. A 73-win team was marching into the NBA Finals taking on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers once again.
However, in one of the most astonishing comebacks of all time, the Cavs came back from 3-1 down to win the series. Stephen Curry and the Warriors were distraught and knew they had to get help. That’s when the Slim Reaper made the move that shook the NBA core. Now, it looks like that could happen again.

Are Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry ready to reunite?
After spending three seasons with the Golden State Warriors, the Slim Reaper decided to follow Kyrie Irving and join the Nets. However, his time there hasn’t had much to look back. Durant hasn’t been back to the NBA Finals even once. The Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat are the teams the 12-time All-Star reportedly wants to join. But a calling from the Bay is ringing him yet again.

A team that just won the NBA championship is possibly exploring shaking up their core to bring in a HOFer to try and win more rings. Man, must be nice to have a team that has its priorities set on winning titles, not just avoiding the play-in games. https://t.co/acKkJ5DH0A

The Warriors would look worse (in the media and public eyes) than the Nets do right now if they traded their whole future for KD. After winning a title without him. https://t.co/Vw028siU92

Already lost GPII, Otto Porter and JTA, now you wanna package up a young core of young big, a scoring PG and two wing defenders that are prime athletes that helped win a title for a chance to bring back KD to a awkward situation?? https://t.co/768kOBxQIx pic.twitter.com/OYQ7HlcSvM

Looking at what the Warriors can offer, the Brooklyn Nets could be inclined towards them. In the epic triumph, this season Jordan Poole was the biggest find for the Warriors. In addition, they have an All-Star in Andrew Wiggins who was second in Finals MVP votings. Tough rookies such as Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody would wrap up a perfect parcel in exchange for their former superstar.
But they have a lot to think about. With the winning culture back, the Warriors will look to do anything to gain an upper hand. And the Easy Money Sniper is the perfect assassin for the job. On the flip side, the Bay will have to forego much of its future.
