Shaq is not the person who says things indirectly. He held nothing back when asked about LeBron James and Kevin Durant and their super teams during the podcast.

Shaquille O’Neal said, “The words I hear are it’s a new era. Trust me, if I knew it was okay to team up, I would’ve gone and played with Hakeem Olajuwon. I would’ve gone and played with Jordan every time they beat us.

Shaq has mentioned how he would never join a super team, unlike the stars of today. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Shaq had talked about super teams and what he thinks about them.

I’m from the era where guys wanted to compete and beat each other, so I would wait and see who’s teaming up and doing that and I would go on a team that needs a superstar, and I’d teach them guys how to beat the super teams,Shaq said on the show.

Although the two were not on the best of terms, they had respect for one another. Michael Jordan had once mentioned how he was intimidated by Shaquille O’Neal. While talking to SLAM Magazine, Jordan said, “When was the last time that I was intimidated in basketball? When I first saw Shaquille, how big he is. I mean, that was a short intimidation factor, but I just couldn’t fathom how big he was.”
