Curry continued, “You want to be great, but the one thing I couldn’t control was my health in terms of my ankles. She gave me that one line of like, ‘Don’t forget who you are’. That kind of kept me focused on that mission and almost three years later, I’m back on the court winning a championship.”

Dealing with a barrage of ankle injuries, early times weren’t easy for Steph. He was looking to make a mark in the NBA, but constant tweaks kept him off the floor. Despite going through two surgeries and missing out on many games, Stephen Curry had a support system in Ayesha. She helped him up, and the results showed. The Baby Face Assassin won his first MVP award in the 2015 season and took the Golden State Warriors to their first championship win since 1975.
