NBA TNT analyst Charles Barkley is straightforward with his thoughts about the NBA players and their games. In TNT’s post-game analysis segment, “Inside the NBA”, Charles Barkley slammed Boston Celtics forward Jason Tatum after a game 5 defeat at the TD Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Sixers dominated the Celtics in three of the four quarters at their home. Furthermore, the Celtics gave away a 2-3 lead to the 76ers on their home court. Barkley was unhappy with the Celtics’ efforts to gain a lead in the series and went after their superstar Jason Tatum.?

Charles Barkley has never held himself back from being honest. After the Celtics’ recent loss against the Sixers, Barkley questioned the game-winning mentality of the Boston Celtics superstar Jason Tatum. He said, “I don’t know what’s going on with Jason Tatum.”
The Celtics trailed the Sixers throughout the game while their superstar was struggling to make shots in the first half. Barkley was unhappy with Tatum struggling in the first half despite his 30-point game.
The Chuckster explained that Tatum’s early struggles affected the team’s offensive and eventually cost them the game. Tatum scored 36 points making 11 of his 27 attempted shots with a field goal percentage of 40.8%, the majority coming in late in the second half. According to Barkley, Tatum’s missed shots gave confidence to the Sixers, allowing them to dominate.
“0-5 in the first quarter then picked it up,” Ernie Johnson stated during the show. Barkley responded, “The House was already on fire by then”, considering Tatum’s performance coming late in the game after the crucial moments had already passed. He also labeled Tatum’s efforts? futile as Sixers already maintained a lead throughout the game.

Philadelphia players shine in the victory over the Celtics
The Sixers were led by the regular season MVP Joel Embiid, who scored 33 points grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Embiid was well supported by his teammate Tyrese Maxey, who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. James Harden controlled the Sixers’ ball movement throughout the game dishing out 10 assists and scoring 17 points. On the other end, Jason Tatum’s 36 points performance got help from Jaylen Brown’s 24-point game, but was not enough to beat the Sixers.?

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics 115-103. They edged over their rivals with their dominance on both ends of the court. Celtics’ losing effort forced them into a must-win game 6 situation.
