On Thursday, an uncalled event took place after the Dallas Mavericks’ Game 2 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. As Luka Doncic was ready to answer questions, a sound interrupted him and everyone in the room grew astonished. Doncic’s face was stunned, his eyebrows raised, eyes wide open. It was so preposterous, it was borderline hilarious. The cause? Sexual sounds of a woman moaning coming in from somewhere. Nobody knew where it came from.

It was awkward for everyone in the room, especially for the Mavericks stalwart present in the room. Well, he was seriously talking about his gameplay and suddenly got interrupted. Nevertheless, after a couple of seconds, they broke into a confused laugh, and the moment exploded all over social media, with Luka wanting to know if all of this was live or not. NBA fans wanted to know about the true events. Just what or who produced that intimate sound during a post-game conference?

At first, Marca reported it to be an “embarrassed journalist” who was trying to record a video of Luka speaking and suddenly pornographic sounds started to play loudly. But then, Tim MacMohan selflessly tried to put an end to everyone’s curiosity on the Hoops Collective podcast along with Brian Windhorst.

Luka Doncic was pranked by a member

A lot was on the agenda for the NBA experts to speak about. However, Windhorst only had one question on his mind. Just moments after the podcast began, he asked his colleague MacMahon about Thursday night’s fiasco. Notably, the moaning sound began right as MacMahon was asking Doncic a question.

He first clarified that it wasn’t his phone that played the noise nor was it any other media reporter present in the room. He believes it was a “prank” played by one of the members present in or around the room.

“But to be clear, that was a prank from the hallway. That was not some lonely media member who needed to get back from Bricktown”. said the veteran NBA reporter. The former Dallas reporter did diffuse the situation with a light-hearted joke stating, “My only regret is that I wasn’t quick enough to ask him ‘Luka, what did you think the climax of tonight’s game was?'”

Well, if it were really a prank pulled on Doncic, it indeed was funny. And if someone accidentally left some “sounds” left unattended at the NSFW, then they need to learn how to handle their devices better. But sure, it was whimsy enough to spread frolic around the otherwise serious room after the game, that tied the Dallas side to the OKC 1-1 (on the day of writing this, Dallas is leading with 2-1).

But, keeping all of this aside, it did leave Windhorst evidently surprised. He had never seen MacMahon as rattled as he did after the sound player in the midst of him asked a question to Luka Doncic. In the past, Tim MacMahon has had some controversial and clashing moments with the Slovenian and his HC Jason Kidd.

Early in January this year, Doncic and he got into an argument. In a loss to the Phoenix Suns, Doncic had a heated interaction with a fan. He instructed security to escort them out of the arena. At the press conference, the Mavericks star called out MacMahon for writing a supposedly informed report about the incident.

Amongst all the drama in his career so far, MacMahon might have been the most affected by Thursday night’s events. Who do you think should be blamed in such circumstances? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
