People often talk about how love can climb any mountain that life puts in our paths. Be it love between siblings, from parents to kids and vice-versa, love in friendship or between couples. But when it comes to the relationship between Draya Michele and Jalen Green people seem to forget that. Since August 2023, the couple found themselves stuck in a malicious social media storm.

After Draya’s pregnancy announcement, the ruckus grew further. Even after giving birth to their first offspring together in May 2024, the haters are yet to cease fire. But the couple are focusing on parenthood rather than paying attention to their detractors.

During the latest interview with TMZ, Draya and Green shared how their parenthood is going. while walking through the streets of Los Angeles, the couple revealed their plans for their child. Praising her “really good baby” daughter for being a sound sleeper Draya said, “I don’t know, it’s our first girl, so we’ll see,” when asked about their parenting style. To this Green mumbled that he’s going to be overprotective, and why not? That’s what dads do.

While Draya has experience in raising two sons from previous relationships, for Jalen Green this is something harder than hitting a 3 on the court. The couple also responded to the controversy surrounding their relationship which has been going on for months now. “We try to stay off the internet and not really listen to that kind of stuff. We also don’t care… we just block it out and we mind our business,” the Basketball Wives LA star revealed. “Love is love at the end of the day,” she further added and there can’t be much debate about it.

Draya’s Altered Stance Over Relationship With Green

Draya Michele and Jalen Green’s age gap was a big concern for everyone taking an interest in their budding relationship. Draya’s eldest son, Kniko is just a year younger than Green. The Rockets guard dating a 39-year-old became the talk of the town. Even after having a child together, people can find snarly remarks about them on the internet. In the aforementioned interview, Draya was asked about the possibility of having more kids with Green but her answer was simple, “Who knows?” Green had the same reaction as he threw his arms up in an indecisive manner. But Draya’s current pragmatic approach was starkly contrasting from her words a year ago.

During an episode of The Shade Room podcast last year, Draya was asked about the relationship with Green and the possibility of having kids with the NBA star. After enthusiastically saying, “Oh yeah, I want more kids,” Draya took her time to delve deeper into the dynamic of her relationship. “At this point in my life right, the relationship is amazing,” said Michele. “But that’s not what I am basing having a kid on. Because I am very non-traditional. I feel like you can co-parent without being in a relationship. Maybe just two people say ‘Hey, you want a kid, I want a kid. Let’s just have a kid,'” Draya said about the thought process behind her relationship with Green.

Now after almost a year, Draya’s mindset looks different with a more stable and calculated approach. Green will get ample time with his newborn due to his ongoing offseason but will the naysayers about their relationship ever accept it? Quite frankly Draya and Green don’t care.
