Angel Reese throws the first pitch for an MLB game
Angel Reese, being merely 21 years old, had already gained fame for her crucial part in helping the LSU Tigers win the NCAA women’s basketball tournament earlier this year. She defeated Caitlin Clarke and the Iowa Hawkeyes’ daunting challenge with the help of her teammates, cementing her place in college basketball history.
The outstanding star of LSU women’s basketball now had the chance to demonstrate her pitching skills at Oriole Park. Reese, a resident of Maryland, made headlines on Tuesday night when she threw out the first pitch before her team, the Baltimore Orioles, took on the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers. The ceremonial pitch she threw just overshot its target. It landed in the eager glove of the adorable Orioles mascot, the Oriole Bird, who was positioned behind the home plate.

However, despite Reese’s presence, the Orioles were unable to defeat the Dodgers that night. The Orioles were defeated by their West Coast rivals 10-3 even though they tried their best.
