Naji Marshall and Jimmy Butler both took turns wrapping their hands around the other’s neck. It became the lever of what would be a huge brawl during the Miami Heat‘s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Butler, who was the retaliator in the situation, let his aggression leak out in the most violent form. Five players were involved and, in turn, affected by the incident.

They all received suspensions. For the four apart from Butler – Marshall, Thomas Bryant, Jose Alvarado, and Nikola Jovic will all lose around $115,000 combined. Remember, Alvarado and Bryant have been suspended for three games. However, Butler will face the most prominent loss from his single-game suspension for the game against the Sacramento Kings. He will stand to lose over $250,000 in base salary because of the physical brawl. The Heat star is completely locked in during the latter part of the season preparing for the playoffs. But knowing he can’t play and there was nothing he could do, Butler chose to do something he loved and took his rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. along with him on the ride.

Jimmy Butler enjoys suspension by going to Italy

Because Butler is set to miss the game against the Kings tomorrow, he took a trip to Napa, Italy. He selected the scenic place because it is considered being America’s star in wine production. The Napa Valley hosts one of the most popular wine regions in the entire world. Famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine connoisseur like Butler just couldn’t resist.

He made the trip and carried along the Heat’s rookie, Jaquez Jr, who has impressed the organization with his consistent production and maturity in his game. A photo of the duet is making the rounds, each with a glass of decadent red wine in their hands, tasting the depth of flavors.

It was during the pandemic when Jimmy Butler first spoke about his love for wine, in particular red wine. Action superstar Mark Wahlberg gifted him a bottle of Sassicaia 2010. Since the first time the wine hit his palette, he has been a fan. In that conversation with Carmelo Anthony, who is also an avid drinker of wine, he revealed having over 200 bottles of just Sassicaia 2010 in his wine collection.

Five years ago, he even visited their winery in Florence, Italy. The Heat superstar got the chance to open a barrel of wine of his choosing and learn the exact method of decoding the tastes within a red wine.

It seems he wants to be the teacher and introduce Jaquez Jr. to the world of wines.
