Off-court, his wife and father-in-law were stuck with the police. According to Ayesha, the police racial profiled her father and told him to remove credentials and tried to arrest him. It traumatized Ayesha Curry when they “threatened to arrest him,” as reported by Bleacher Report.

Apparently, the security had to check John Alexander’s credentials because they mistook him for David Aminzadeh—a sports fanatic notorious for sneaking into major sporting events. As Curry later explained, the security was on the watch out for a guy who gets on backstage with fake IDs. Alexander was wrongly profiled as this person and was threatened to be arrested, even before he could present his credentials.
