Like Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone once did, the WWE welcomed a new-age NBA rivalry on the set of Smackdown. With the event taking place at Madison Square Garden, the creative team decided to invite an adored star Jalen Brunson to support the LA Knights, while Tyrese Haliburton, who faced the Knicks in the postseason came as a helper for social media sensation Logan Paul.
The moment captured the audience. NBA and WWE fans united over the bewildering crossover. For Brunson, he “Just lived out a childhood dream”. The Knicks’ Cornerstone even wielded a steel chair after his intense staredown with Haliburton.
In a recent episode of the Roommates Show, Brunson reflected on his time in the ring at MSG. It also allowed him to reminisce on his childhood. “Edge’s entrance is probably of my favorites for sure,” the All-Star guard told his teammate and podcast co-host Josh Hart. But still, the Rated-R Superstar wasn’t his favorite. There was another fearless wrestler who compelled Jalen Brunson to imitate his mind-boggling maneuvers.
