The Los Angeles Lakers will get their preseason underway later today. They will play the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The Lakers ended last season really positively. They went all the way to the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the Denver Nuggets. With LeBron fully motivated for the upcoming season, the Lakers can go places.

But for fans hoping to catch a glimpse of King James against the Warriors, they will have to wait sadly. As LeBron James won’t play in the preseason because he is expected to attend the WNBA Finals to support her “little sister”.

LeBron to Support “Little Sister” A’ja Wilson

LeBron James along with several of his teammates won’t be present for their first preseason game against the Warriors. As they will be in Vegas to watch Game 1 of the WNBA finals. The Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty will play in the Finals. The Aces are led by A’ja Wilson, who LeBron refers to as his “little sister”. On the other hand, the New York Liberty is led by the likes of Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.

According to ESPN reporter Andraya Carter, LeBron James and several Lakers plan to attend the Aces-Liberty WNBA Finals Game 1 in Las Vegas on Sunday. LeBron reiterated his support for Wilson by saying,I hope she brings it home”. The Lakers and Warriors will tip off at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, October 7th. The game will be televised nationally on NBA TV and locally on Spectrum Sportsnet. After the Warriors game, the Lakers will travel to Las Vegas to play against the Brooklyn Nets in the T-Mobile Arena.
