Amidst all the Super Bowl chatter, which is set to kick off on February 11th, we have a vocal fan: the Clippers’ superstar, James Harden. The Beard has been a longtime fanboy of the San Francisco 49ers. So, after his last game against the Detroit Pistons, it is only fitting that the Beard had two words for his favorite football team, the 49ers, “Niner Gang!” proudly declaring his allegiance as he left his locker room.

On Sunday, January 28th, during the NFC Championship game, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Detroit Lions to secure their spot in the Super Bowl. Now, Harden’s favorite team, with a 14-5 record, will face the Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes, who hold a 14-6 record. Both teams boast heavy legacies and impressive records, making the next game to be a highly anticipated one.

Post their last victory against the Lions, Harden was all love for his favorite team and showed them support by tweeting, “Bang Bang!” Now that the Beard’s favorite team is stepping into the Super Bowl, the stakes are high and Harden’s support will be unwavering.

Interestingly enough, the LA Clippers had their last showdown also against a team hailing from Detroit, i.e., the Detroit Pistons, and, came through flying with a final score of 112-106. Paul George led the offense with a staggering 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, while potential MVP Kawhi Leonard contributed 24 points along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. James, on the other hand, racked up 14 points but with 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

As a former MVP himself, Harden possibly understands the pressures and demands that arise from a championship aspiration. However, both his teams, the Clippers, and the 49ers, seem at the top of their game, ready to take on the championship.

Dynasty status for the two teams?

The LA Clippers, with a record of 35-16, are certainly a potential championship team with a heavy All-Star lineup, sitting pretty at No. 2 in the Western Conference. The Beard’s favorite NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers, led their division standing following their dominant 41-23 win against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 4th, 2023.

Can the Beard lead them to victory, one by cheering from the sidelines and the second by giving a smashing performance on the court? Only time will tell.
