LeBron's emotional side revealed—Is this why he's the GOAT on and off the court?

LeBron James and the gang are back together, but this time for the premiere of Netflix’s much-anticipated docuseries, “Starting 5”. LeBron linked up with Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum again for the first time since their adventure in France. But before the premiere, LeBron James ran into an 8-year-old, melting his heart.

In a video posted by Uninterrupted, LeBron’s media company, the Lakers star is spotted interacting with an 8-year-old girl. Much to his surprise, the little one looked quite similar to Zhuri, his daughter. “I don’t even want to fall off. I promise you, you never terrible with this. I’m terrible,” LeBron says in the clip. Unable to control his fatherly emotions, the 4-time champion walks up to her and says, “I’m gonna give her a hug, though. Can I give you a hug?” After the warm hug, the Laker star asks her age and then mentions his daughter before the footage ends abruptly.

Apart from the wholesome interaction, LeBron set the record on why he’s a part of this Netflix project. “It’s always great that we’re able to bring these stories together, especially when uninterrupted,” LeBron stated. “It’s, something we always talked about, giving more in-depth things, and, this is a good way to do it.”

The whole purpose of the series is to give an insight into the players’ lives both on and off the court as explained by LeBron. “Just see what we do before we even get on the floor. Just see, you know, off days and spending time with our families and our friends and, you know, just life outside of the game. I think, you know, like I said, the human side of us will be showing a lot on this, and I think people will be appreciative of that.”

LeBron is understandably very excited to bring out to the world a new side of NBA stars. We as fans sometimes get too consumed with what’s going on the court and forget how these stars have lives outside the hardwood and that can affect their game. They have families and loved ones who deal with their ups and downs, praise and criticism. These athletes have to balance both worlds and come back to court every other night as the series aims to show exactly that. Before the actual show airs on October 9, the trailer has been going viral, where LeBron’s daughter comments on her daddy’s legendary status.

Despite on-court superheroics, LeBron James is just a normal human to Zhuri

Have an interesting take?

The 2:28-minute trailer starring the five NBA stars, LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Domantas Sabonis, and Anthony Edwards is sure to give you goosebumps. Co-produced by Higher Ground and Omaha Productions, besides LeBron’s media house, the trailer shows the athletes’ families sharing a few words about them. The 39-year-old’s daughter made a confession about him, which had the expected innocence that not many fans would be able to relate to but fit perfectly with how all of their families see them.

“Everyone thinks our dad is the legend of basketball, but he’s just like a normal person,” Zhuri said in the trailer. Sure, LeBron has his foot on almost all the basketball records and a cabinet full of accolades, but when he goes back home to his family, he’s just a normal son, husband, and loving father. Surely his family will make multiple appearances in the series, giving the fans a broader dynamic of LeBron-Zhuri connection behind the scenes. So hurry save the date and subscribe to Netflix if you haven’t already to not miss any such revelation from their close ones.
