The James family is having a blast in the last 24 hours. LeBron James added another career record to his name, yet again after becoming the NBA player with most minutes under his belt. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar saw another of his records blown away by the 39-year-old during the Lakers vs Kings game on Thursday. Now they’ve more cause to celebrate as Zhuri James has taken the first step in her budding sporting career. But she did that by ditching daddy James in favor of someone inspiring the girl power in her.
Zhuri is passionate about volleyball and has been diligently working her way into the sport. After her tryouts, Zhuri was selected to join the City Volleyball Club. Proud of his little girl’s achievement, LeBron finally broke his silence on Instagram and posted a series of pictures with a caption, “🥰🥰😍😍🤎🤎🤎 YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! @allthingszhuri LET’S GO BABY Z!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. Best of luck this season and GO CRAZY!! 🏐👋🏾. #JamesGang👑”.
In the pictures, Zhuri can be seen holding the ball while wearing her uniform. In one of the shots, she’s also posing with her teammates. And if you look closely, you’ll notice that the 10-year-old is donning Nike Sabrina 2 Court Vision shoes in bold purple and black.

For her special day, Zhuri chose to sport the WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu’s popular pair that looks stunning with her jersey. Nike launched the second line of the Liberty guard’s signature collection in June, which is not only for adult women but also unisex, with sizes available for kids as well. Despite LeBron having multiple signature collections, it was Sabrina’s shoe that attracted little Zhuri.
Zhuri’s tryouts had been ongoing for a couple of months. In early October, LeBron even spoke about the talent she has developed. “She’s nine years old and she went to try out for under-11 volleyball. You know what’s even crazier?” LeBron revealed, “She went up there to try for under-11. They asked her, what’re you trying out for? She said under eleven. And they bumped her up to under 12. So she’s playing three ages over. So we’re all just super proud. She’s gonna be good.” Of course, she’s talented, which is what got her into the new club.

However, the selection wasn’t recent but took place weeks ago, as even Savannah had posted about it. Since LeBron wasn’t active on social media, he couldn’t share it earlier.
LeBron James took a brief break from social media
“Getting off social media for the time being. Y’all take care.” With a tweet on X, LeBron James announced his exit from social media platforms. It was becoming too much for the 39-year-old to tolerate, so he believed disconnecting would bring him some mental peace.

The declaration came shortly after he agreed with Kevin Durant’s agent, Rich Kleiman, about the media’s negative takes when covering sports, sharing his post in support of the sentiment. LeBron also mentioned previously that he was called a liar when he stated that he had observed Dalton Knecht’s game in Tennessee. The decision was so sudden that it stunned the community and raised many eyebrows.
But certainly, his certified fans are happy now that their idol is back on social media. LeBron became active on X a couple of days ago and has now returned to Instagram as well. So, get ready for more posts and stories from LeBron filling up your feeds!
