It’s that time of year again! Mariah Carey’s whistle tones are back, and so is the holiday magic. Christmas is here, and with it, the jolly man from the North Pole—Santa Claus! For Savannah James and LeBron’s little Zhuri Nova, being good has its perks. Santa’s sleigh is brimming with gifts for the 10-year-old. But her parents have a massive secret they’re trying to keep under wraps. Christmas might just depend on it!

In the latest video posted on social media by Uninterrupted on Tuesday, the James household’s Christmas morning routine came before the world. The family wakes up at 7 am “Thanks to Zhuri Nova,” Savannah James shared. Then LeBron tells that by the time they’re downstairs around 7:30 am, the 10-year-old said just one thing: “FINALLY!”

The little girl waited by the sparkling Christmas tree, her eyes wide with wonder. The carrots left for the reindeer were nibbled, their ends jagged and proof of a midnight visitor. The plate of cookies? Crumbs and smudges remained. The milk? Gone! Santa had been here, leaving behind magic and gifts. Her heart raced with joy—Christmas had truly arrived!

But “Damn reindeer, messing up my floors,” Savannah James said sharing similar sentiments with LeBron James in this case. However, the power couple tried their best to keep the secret about Santa a secret for Zhuri who dearly believes in the Old Man from the North. After having her heartbreaking revelation about the myth as a kid, Mrs. James desperately wants Zhuri to stay in her Santa cocoon.

Amidst the struggles of having the entire family at home for Christmas, Savannah James might have turned into Ebenezer Scrooge. Her childhood holds the real reason. When the Santa myth unraveled, it shattered little Savannah’s heart. Now, at 38, she openly admits she has become a Christmas-hating Scrooge. But, with Zhuri she wants to be careful.

On Everybody’s Crazy podcast, Savannah James said: “She [Zhuri] still believes Santa be thumping in my house. Santa is the goat at my house.” Therefore, the mother is walking a fine line regarding bursting Zhuri’s happy bubble. Her 10-year-old believes in Santa Claus and his magic and for now, Savannah wants to keep things that way. Mrs. James clings to the magic, weaving it into every moment, every story. But deep down, she knows the day will come when the veil lifts and reality takes its place. She’s seen it before—felt it herself, all those years ago.

But for now, Vannah and LeBron want their daughter to believe in the cookie-eating Santa who’s dropping gifts for her every year. It’s the simplicity and innocence of kids that make Christmas so delightful. And the James household wants the magic to remain untouched for now.
