The NBA world finally bowed down to the excellence of Nikola Jokic after his gallant victory over ‘Playoff’ Jimmy-led Miami Heat. The Nuggets swept the finals 4-1, on the back of a heroic performance by The Joker, leading to the first title in franchise history for the Denver Nuggets. In the end, Jokic won his first Finals MVP and also silenced haters. The seventh-seeded Miami Heat also made history on their way to the finals by dominating Giannis’ Bucks. The Milwaukee Bucks were favorites to reach the finals, as they were the first seed in the Eastern Conference. Although Jimmy Buckets and the Heats would finally prove to fall short in front of the might of Nikola Jokic.
However, recently on a podcast, a rich businessman and inflencer bashed Nuggets fans calling into question their self-esteem.

New Jersey native and multi-millionaire Gary Vaynerchuk was a guest on The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone. In the episode, he shares a lot of interesting insights on sports, yet what sticks out is his comments about Nuggets fans. He presents hilarious anecdotes about “Kids” wearing Nuggets jerseys.
They posted a snippet from the podcast on the Instagram page with the caption “No Bandwagon Fans around Gary.” In the clip, the VaynerMedia CEO said, “Kids out there if you are walking around right now, and don’t live in Denver, and you have a Nuggets Jersey. Let me give an insight. You’re insecure.”?

This remark has both co-hosts of the Podcast laughing. Gary Vee further reiterated, “Bro, if you were walking around this morning and you got a f**king Nuggets Jersey on and you’re not from Denver, you’re f**king losing because you’re using someone else’s success to put a Band-Aid on your insecurity”.

Gary Vee’s comments, apart from being hilarious, also highlight a common phenomenon in sports. The bandwagon effect takes over young kids where they support teams and players that are winning rather than rooting for their own home team.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think people celebrating the Nugget’s maiden victory outside Denver are insecure?
